Maserati tuning specialist, Novitec Tridente recently decided to take a 2013 Maserati Gran Cabrio MC and add even more power to it’s already horsepower happy V8, while also adding a set of new rims.
Out of the factory the Maserati Cabrio MC features a 4.7 liter V8 that cranks out a total of 460 and 424 lb-ft of torque. This is good for a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of just under 180 mph (289 km/h). However Novitec didn’t think that was enough so they strapped on a supercharger, a water-cooled intercooler and two heat exchangers.
The tuner didn’t stop there, as they also added a new intake manifold with larger injectors and a remapped ECU. These enchantments allow the Gran Cabrio MC to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and top out at 189 mph (305 km/h).
On the hood you’ll notice a scoop that provides cooling and ventilation for the supercharged V8. Out the rear there is a special exhaust system with two 105mm tailpipes finished in black or can be polished. The tone and sound of the exhaust can be controlled via a flap-controlled system. With all the power, Novitec decided to add a new sport-tuned suspension system that allows for adjustable damper settings with a lift system that can lower the car by 40mm.
The Maserati GranCabrio MC by Novitec Tridente sits on a set of Novitec Tridente NM4 or Novitec Rosso NM3 wheels that measure 21-inches in the front and 22-inches in the rear, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires.
The price for the kit and upgrades will cost you roughly $32,000 (€23,900).
