Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering details their tuning program for the 2014 Corvette Stingray in which the top package could make up to 1000 horsepower.
However, this should come as no surprise to those of us who know what Hennessey is capable of, especially after their success of the 1244 hp Venom GT which has already broken a handful of records.
So what does Hennessey’s tuning program consist of? Well for starters the HPE600 will make use of the Corvette’s 6.2 liter V8 rated 455 horsepower engine by adding on a TVS2300 supercharger system and a few other upgrades including an optimized ECU. This package brings the Hennessey 2014 Corvette Stingray’s power output to a total of 600 horsepower.
The next package, called the HPE700 works off the HPE600 kit but adds a CNC ported cylinder head and a new camshaft. This is good for 700 horsepower. Both of these kits come with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and will cost you around $12,495 and $18,450 respectively.
The next package, the HPE800 features some serious engine tuning, including a twin-turbocharger system, forged aluminum pistons, forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods. The package also sports a new and improved fuel system, a new sport stainless exhaust system, and an optimized ECU. This package will give you 800 horsepower while the top package, the HPE1000 works off the same upgrades but will boost the Hennessey 2014 Corvette’s output to 1000 horsepower.
Expect to pay anywhere from $55,000-68,000 for the top two packages. Customers can also add on some exterior equipment like a CarbonAero exterior package, carbon ceramic brakes, an adjustable suspension and monoblock alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There is also a custom interior package that includes high grade upholstery and carbon fiber trim.
